Subject:- Admissibility of interest in PPF(HUF) accounts matured between 13.5.2001 to 7.12.2010 -a clarification regarding.

Sir / Madam,

The undersigned is directed to refer to this office SB Order No.23/2010 dated 13.12.2010 vide which, MOF(DEA) GSR 956 (E) dated 7.12.2010 ( F.No. 7/4/2010-NS-II dated 7.12.2010) was circulated. Now, MOF(DEA) vide its letter No. 7/4/2008-NS-II dated 01.06.2011 has further clarified the following:-

Interest at PPF rate would be paid on those PPF(HUF) accounts which had attained maturity after 13.5.2005 but closed by the subscribers before7.12.2010 subject to the conditions that the accounts had not been extended after maturity and the deposits were retained in such accounts without further subscription during this period.

2. This may kindly be circulated to all post offices for guidance and necessary information. If any such account was closed either without interest or with interest @ Post Office Savings Account, that may be settled according to this clarification.

3. This issues with the approval of DDG(FS).

Megh 7.0- eMO client Update

Problem:

After upgrading to MM 7 version, The eMOClient  error log shows as:

16:12:10:Inserting eMO 108638110801001412] Failed With error Implicit conversion from data type nvarchar to money is not allowed. Use the CONVERT function to run this query.

Solution:

Download  


Replace existing emo client exe available in emo client installation path with that of emoclient available at Download  Run emo client and then check. Apply for request resend through divisional administrator web login once again in respect of concerned PO to receive the non received emos again.

Why Hubmaster utility

Destination hub details are printed in the Point Of Sale receipt after speed post transactions. Since the hub master details are undergoing frequent changes, a utility is kept in ftp so that whenever there is a change in the hub details, an update will be available. 

How to use?

The exl file from the ftp should be downloaded and copied to the system. Counter database should be upgraded using the script tool using this file.

Prerequisite

MeghdootUpdate28032011\Pointofsale7.0\Pointofsale7.1 is a prerequisite for using the utility.

Write Protect Your USB Drive

Viruses these days are tend to copy themselves to executable files. The common medium is USB  flash drives. It has now become the most common and seen everywhere that a virus is getting transferred from one computer to another.  Not all  antivirus software are able to detect whenever system detects a new device plugging in.

I still remember there were some old USB drives that used to come with write protect feature, a button that used to make a flash drive read only and nothing could be written or deleted from the drive after plugging in.  But unfortunately most of the new flash drives don’t come with such feature, maybe the manufacturers want to cut down the cost?

So, the only way to protect our USB flash drive is enable the write protect through our own PC. With USB Write Protector, you can turn on/off the write protect to a USB flash drive, which puts a drive in read-only mode when it’s connected to a computer.

You won’t be able to delete or create a new file inside the drive unless the write-protect is disabled using USB Write protector.
